My friend and I each bought one, and we've been having an absolute blast. The 6500W motor is a beast – hitting 53mph on trails is pure adrenaline. Very quick. I had to put auto rap on fenders and center peice and front plate because the side brackets of the metal shipping frams lost there bolts and nuts they then rubed all the plastics and scracthed them up. The ride is great smooth and fast.

Once i got over the scrapes and dent on my back fin that i disovered when i unpacked it, and i actually put it together and finally.... rode it.... i was over impressed at the steady disbursement of power and speed. I’m in my late 60s and the RTX has brought back the excitement of riding I had when I was younger. I enjoy taking it out on trails near my home and exploring places I wouldn’t normally visit. The bike feels powerful but still easy to control, and the suspension makes the ride much more comfortable on rough terrain. What I like most is that it gives me the freedom to enjoy the outdoors without feeling limited. The build feels strong, and every ride has been a lot of fun. It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy some adventure at my own pace.
I use this bike to commute 20 miles each way on back roads. The 53 mph top speed means I can keep up with country traffic easily. The 70-mile range is real if you’re not wide open all the time. I charge it at work for free. The big 19" front tire soaks up potholes that would destroy a smaller bike. My car is collecting dust.
The range anxiety is real with any e-bike, but the RT-X has cured it for me. I did a 65-mile loop that included pavement, gravel, and singletrack. I finished with 8% battery. That’s with me riding aggressively. The 70-mile claim is honest for mixed riding. I feel confident exploring far from home now.

Great bike has long range and good speed
The first time I twisted the throttle on the RT-X, my heart nearly stopped. The 6500W peak motor is brutal in the best way. I climbed a near-vertical riverbank that my gas bike always struggled with. The 300Nm of torque just clawed its way up like a mountain goat. If you’re an adrenaline junkie looking for the ultimate electric dirt bike, this is it.
We live on a huge farm, and the RT-X has become essential for checking cattle. It’s silent, so the animals don’t spook. The 350 lb payload handles me, my gear, and a bag of feed. The torque pulls through deep mud without complaint. My old ATV just sits in the barn now. Electric is the way to go for farm work.
I was nervous about the $2000 price tag, but after one ride, I knew it was worth it. The build quality is incredible. The 160mm front fork is plush like a motocross bike. I’m hitting jumps I never thought I’d have the confidence for. My riding buddies with $6000 KTMs are impressed. This bike punches way above its class.
My son races motocross, and he borrowed my RT-X for a practice day. He said the instant torque out of corners is a superpower. No clutch, no shifting, just pure acceleration. I took the RT-X to the mountains for a weekend camping trip. I rode 50 miles of rocky trails without a single issue. The 19" front tire rolled over rocks that would have stopped my old bike cold. The hydraulic brakes are powerful and didn’t fade on long downhills. This bike is a true backcountry machine. I trust it completely.
The orange color is stunning. It pops against the green forest. I get compliments everywhere I go. The finish seems durable too. I’ve scratched it on branches, and it buffed right out. The bike looks fast just standing still. KOVO did a great job with the styling. It’s aggressive and modern. I love showing it off.
I was worried about the weight (148 lbs), but it carries it low. The bike feels planted and stable at high speed. On loose gravel, it tracks straight. The wide tires provide massive grip. I feel confident pushing hard into corners. The center of gravity is perfect. It’s heavy in a good way, like a luxury car.
The quick-release seat is a nice touch. I adjusted the height in seconds. My wife is 5'5", and she could ride it comfortably with the seat lowered. I raised it back up for myself. It’s great that two riders of different sizes can share the bike easily. The seat is also very plush for long days in the saddle.
I had a small problem with a loose headset after a hard crash. I emailed KOVO support, and they sent me a video guide within an hour. They also offered to send a new bearing kit for free. I fixed it myself in 20 minutes. The warranty is real, and the support team is helpful. No runaround. Great company.
My neighbor has a Sur Ron Light Bee. We swapped bikes for a ride. The RT-X is in a different league. The power difference is massive. The suspension is plusher. The bigger wheels roll over obstacles better. He’s already saving up to buy one. The extra $500 over the Sur Ron is worth every penny for the performance.
I ride in the desert, and dust is a huge issue. The IPX4 rating seems to keep the dust out of the electrical components. After every ride, I blow it off with compressed air. No problems yet. The connectors are all sealed well. KOVO clearly designed this for harsh environments. I’m not gentle on it, and it keeps going.
The sequential turn signals are cool. They flow like a modern car. They’re bright enough to see in daylight. The brake light is also very bright and flashes when you grab a handful of brake. It gives me confidence when I’m on the road. Cars definitely notice me. The lighting system is complete and well thought out.
I was skeptical about the 6500W peak power. It’s not a gimmick. The bike accelerates like a rocket from 0 to 40 mph. It pulls hard all the way to 53. I’ve hit 55 mph on a slight downhill. It feels stable and planted. You need full dirt bike gear for this machine. It’s not a toy; it’s a serious motorcycle.
The charging time is a huge selling point for me. The 5A charger fills the big 30Ah battery in about 5 hours. I can ride after work, charge overnight, and be ready for the morning. My old bike took 8 hours. That extra 3 hours of waiting really added up. The faster charger is a game-changer for daily riding.
I installed a set of handguards and a skid plate. The RT-X has standard bar mounts and frame fittings. It was easy to find aftermarket parts. This bike uses common sizes, so customization is simple. I’ve added a bigger rear sprocket for even more torque. The motor handles it fine. This platform is great for tinkerers.
I let my 16-year-old daughter ride it in eco mode. The power is very manageable when turned down. She was nervous at first but quickly gained confidence. The bike is predictable and smooth. She’s now asking to go riding with me every weekend. It’s become our father-daughter bonding activity. Money well spent for that alone.
The brakes are massive 190mm rotors. They stop the bike with authority. I was coming down a steep, loose hill, and a deer jumped out. I grabbed both brakes, and the bike stopped straight and true. No lockup, no skid. The modulation is excellent. I feel completely safe pushing the speed limits because I know I can stop.
I’ve owned the RT-X for 3 months and put over 1000 miles on it. I’ve only had to adjust the chain and clean the air filter. That’s it. No valves to check, no oil changes, no spark plugs. The maintenance cost is nearly zero. This is the most reliable off-road vehicle I’ve ever owned. Electric simplicity wins.
The 19" front and 17" rear tire combo is perfect. The big front wheel rolls over logs and rocks like they’re nothing. The smaller rear wheel hooks up instantly and spins freely in the air. It’s a motocross-inspired setup. The tires themselves are decent. They have good tread depth and haven’t worn quickly even on pavement.
I ride this bike to my favorite fishing spots deep in the national forest. The silent motor doesn’t scare the fish. I can carry my rod, tackle box, and a cooler in a backpack. The range gets me miles back in. I’ve caught more fish this year because I can access remote areas easily. Best fishing tool I own.
The bike arrived in a huge, heavy box (186 lbs!). It was well-packed with foam and cardboard. No damage at all. Assembly required attaching the handlebars, front wheel, and tightening a few bolts. The included tools worked fine. Took me about 45 minutes while watching TV. Straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical skill.
